Rubbish removal in London & the South East
The catch-all load: bags, boxes, the broken and the unwanted, priced by how much van it fills and loaded by the crew rather than by you. The licensed version of this service is cheap insurance; the unlicensed version is how households end up fined for a stranger's fly-tip.

- £2m insurance verified
- Three quotes maximum, never sold on
- Free, with no obligation
- Collected from inside the property, not the kerb
- Two or three items together cost little more than one
- Stairs and awkward access are priced before booking, never on the day

The cheap end of this market is where fly-tipping happens. If waste is traced back to your address you are liable, not the person who took it, always get the transfer note.
Every firm is checked against the Environment Agency register, insured to at least £2m, and asked for references we actually call. Your job goes to a maximum of three of them.

Estimate this jobHow rubbish removal works
Photo, price, loaded and gone, usually inside a day or two.
- 1Photos fix the price
A phone picture of the pile is enough. Loads are priced by volume, in fractions of a van, so what the photo shows is what the quote covers.
- 2Name the awkward items
Paint, gas bottles, tyres and plasterboard have their own routes and their own fees, and asbestos is not part of a general load at all. Named up front, none of it is a problem.
- 3The crew loads, not you
That is the practical difference from a skip: no permit, no driveway commitment, no fortnight of the neighbours adding to it, and the labour is theirs.
- 4Sorted, recycled, disposed of last
Reusable items pulled out, recyclables separated, the remainder through a licensed transfer station with a receipt.
What a good firm does with a general load
The difference between a service and a risk.
Anyone taking waste for money must be a registered carrier. Ask for the number, check it in two minutes, keep the receipt: that is your whole legal duty done.
Fractions of a van load, agreed from photos, so the price does not grow mysteriously once everything is aboard.
Plasterboard cannot go in with general waste, metals are worth pulling, and reusables deserve better than landfill. Sorting is what a proper operator does.
Asbestos needs a specialist route. A firm that will happily sling anything in the van is telling you how the rest of the load gets treated too.
Swept behind the pile, bags checked for strays, done.
The £150 to £600 reason to check the licence
Household waste that ends up fly-tipped gets investigated, and the law expects you to have taken reasonable steps to hand it to an authorised carrier. Where a household cannot show that, councils can issue fixed penalties, set locally within a statutory range of £150 to £600, and prosecution is possible in the worst cases.
The too-good price on a social media ad is usually cheap for a reason: no licence, no transfer station fees, and a load that ends up in a lane with your post in one of the bags. The two-minute alternative: ask for the CBDU number, check it on the Environment Agency register, keep the receipt. Every firm on this site has been checked against that register before being allowed to quote.
